Egypt’s Foreign Minister Badr Abdel-Aati held phone talks on Monday with his Greek counterpart Giorgos Gerapetritis as part of ongoing coordination between the two nations on bilateral co-operation and regional developments.
The two ministers welcomed the growing momentum in Egypt-Greece relations under their strategic partnership.
They also reaffirmed commitment to building on recent high-level exchanges to deepen political and economic cooperation and advance the shared interests of both countries.
Abdel-Aati voiced appreciation over Greece’s continued support for Egypt within EU institutions.
He also lauded the trilateral co-operation mechanism between Egypt, Greece and Cyprus, stressing the importance of expanding cooperation in trade, investment and other areas of mutual interest.
The call touched on the latest regional developments. Abdel-Aati reviewed Egypt’s intensive diplomatic efforts to promote de-escalation and reduce tensions across the region.
He reaffirmed Egypt’s support for resolving the current crisis through dialogue and diplomatic means to preserve regional peace and stability.
