President Abdel Fattah El Sisi has stressed the specificity of Egypt-UAE relations, highlighting the deep-rooted historical bonds and solid ties between the two countries.
President Sisi on Sunday received President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan in El Alamein.
President Sisi welcomed bin Zayed as a valued guest, affirming that the UAE and its leadership enjoy a distinguished status among the Egyptian people in light of the exceptional depth and strength of the ties between the two brotherly nations.
The Egyptian leader stressed the importance of carrying on with coordination and consultation to advance joint interests and address regional and international challenges.
For his part, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed expressed his gratitude to President Sisi for the warm reception and hospitality, reaffirming the strong historic and fraternal relations between the leaderships and peoples of the two countries.
The two leaders reviewed the overall trajectory of bilateral relations and discussed prospects for further expanding co-operation across various fields.
They also exchanged views on regional and international issues of mutual concern, particularly developments in the Middle East and efforts to prevent further escalation.
The two sides emphasised the need to maintain close coordination and joint efforts in addressing current regional challenges, while supporting initiatives that contribute to security, stability and peace in the region.
