Hurghada International Airport welcomed the first flight operated by Almasria Universal Airlines from Vienna International Airport. The new route will operate with one weekly flight between Vienna and Hurghada, helping support air traffic and tourism while strengthening connectivity with an important European market for Egyptian tourism.
To mark the arrival of the inaugural flight, the airport’s Public Relations team organised a welcome reception. The aircraft was greeted with a traditional water salute, while passengers received flowers and chocolates. Airport authorities also completed arrival procedures smoothly and efficiently, reflecting the airport’s readiness and the quality of services provided by the Egyptian Airports Company.
The launch of the new route is part of the Egyptian Airports Company’s efforts, under the leadership of Chairman Captain Wael el-Nashar, to expand its international flight network and attract more airlines. The initiative aims to support the growth of air traffic and tourism and further strengthen Hurghada International Airport’s position as one of Egypt’s leading tourist airports and a main gateway to the Red Sea region.
