In a prestigious ceremony timed to celebrate the 13th anniversary of the June 30 Revolution, the National Press Authority officially launched its new two-volume publication, Man of Destiny: Biography of a Leader, the Journey of a Nation.

Hosted by Chairman of the National Press Auttority Abdel Sadek el-Shorbagy, the high-profile event served as a formal dedication of this comprehensive work to President Abdel Fattah El Sisi and the Egyptian people. Developed over a full year of rigorous research, investigation, and original source gathering, the publication fulfills what El Shorbagy described as a profound national responsibility to preserve Egypt’s history and present an authentic national narrative for future generations.

Authored by an elite group of prominent Egyptian thinkers, writers, and journalists, the publication chronicles the personal and political journey of President El Sisi against the backdrop of Egypt’s modern history. The first volume, featuring a foreword by former interim President Adly Mansour, traces the President’s life from his childhood in Cairo’s historic El-Gammaliya district through his distinguished military career, culminating in the pivotal events of the June 30 Revolution. This initial volume documents the defining role of the Egyptian Armed Forces, the police, and the general public in confronting instability, restoring security, and combating terrorism during one of the most critical eras in the nation’s contemporary history.

The second volume, entitled Human First, opens with an introduction by Pope Tawadros II, head of the Coptic Orthodox Church, and shifts focus toward the vast socio-economic development agenda pursued under the President’s tenure. This part of the publication highlights major legislative reforms, massive infrastructure and agricultural projects, and transformative anti-poverty initiatives like the Decent Life programme. It also explores Egypt’s progressive policies aimed at empowering women, youth, and vulnerable groups, while reviewing a balanced foreign policy built on strategic global partnerships and regional stability under the vision of the New Republic.

The launch ceremony drew an extraordinary gathering of state leaders, ministers, and media executives, underscoring the book’s national significance. Among the high-profile attendees were Badr Abdel-Aty, Minister of Foreign Affairs; Maya Morsi, Minister of Social Solidarity;  Khaled Abdel-Ghaffar, Minister of Health and Population; and several other cabinet members, alongside Ibrahim Saber, Governor of Cairo. The media and press landscape was equally represented by leadership figures including Khaled Abdel Aziz, Chairman of the Supreme Council for Media Regulation; journalist Ahmed el-Moslemany, Chairman of the National Media Authority; and Tarek Saada, Head of the Journalists Syndicate, alongside editors-in-chief of national publications.

Delivering a key address at the ceremony, Kamel el-Wazir, Minister of Transport, emphasised that the timing of the book’s release carries immense national significance. He stated that the publication beautifully chronicles the journey of a leader who guided the state through a critical turning point, successfully laying the foundations of a New Republic rooted in construction, hard work, and forward-looking planning. el-Wazir concluded by noting that documenting these major national experiences through rigorous archival work is a vital duty that preserves collective memory, strengthens national awareness, and instills a deep sense of belonging in future generations.
