The Arab Organization for Industrialization (AOI) marked the anniversary of June 30 with the inauguration of several upgraded manufacturing centers at its Aircraft Factory. The opening was attended by AOI Chairman Lieutenant General Engineer Mokhtar Abdel Latif, senior officials, and representatives from Dassault of France and China’s CATIC.

AOI announced investments of nearly 300 million Egyptian pounds in new production lines, including a surface treatment complex with centers for aircraft parts coating, galvanization, and electrostatic painting. Additional facilities include a center for manufacturing and assembling electrical and communications panels, as well as new medical service units for workers.

Abdel Latif emphasized the importance of boosting local manufacturing, localizing technology, reducing imports, and attracting investment under the “Made in Egypt” initiative. He noted that the new centers will support Egypt’s development projects, meet the needs of the armed forces and local market, and strengthen AOI’s role in global supply chains, including cooperation with Dassault.

The upgraded galvanization center, covering 2,600 square meters, will provide corrosion protection for electricity and communications towers produced at the factory. The new electrical panels center, built on 650 square meters, will help meet demand from national development projects. Meanwhile, the electrostatic painting center, spanning 750 square meters, will serve both civilian and defense industries.

Abdel Latif thanked international partners for their cooperation and praised the efforts of AOI staff, urging them to continue working as a team to advance Egypt’s industrial strategy, reduce imports, and maximize added value in line with the “Made in Egypt” vision.
