Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces and Minister of Defence and Military Production Lieutenant General Ashraf Salem Zaher attended on Sunday the graduation ceremony of new classes from the Military Academy for Postgraduate and Strategic Studies.

These comprise 49th Higher War College course, the 55th National Defence College course, the 75th General Staff College course, the 47th and 48th Specialised Staff College courses, and the 27th Formation Leaders Qualification course.

The graduating classes included officers from Egypt and several brotherly and friendly countries.

Chief-of-Staff of the Armed Forces Lieutenant General Ahmed Khalifa, Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Libyan National Army Lieutenant General Saddam Haftar, Chief of the General Staff of the Libyan National Army Lieutenant General Khaled Haftar, a number of ministers, commanders of the Armed Forces’ main branches, military attachés accredited to Egypt, retired military leaders, public figures and media representatives attended the ceremony.

Director of the Military Academy for Postgraduate and Strategic Studies Major General Ahmed Mahmoud Awad delivered a speech highlighting the continuous support provided by the General Command of the Armed Forces to develop military education and scientific research systems at the academy, with the aim of preparing qualified leaders capable of keeping pace with modern challenges and developments across various fields.

During the ceremony, Lieutenant General Zaher conveyed the greetings and appreciation of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi, President of the Republic and Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, to the graduates and congratulated them on completing their studies at one of Egypt’s foremost institutions for strategic thinking and national awareness.

He reaffirmed the Armed Forces’ commitment to developing their educational and research institutions to prepare generations equipped with strategic vision and the ability to address evolving challenges, while expressing pride in the participation of graduates from brotherly and friendly countries who would contribute to strengthening military cooperation and joint action in confronting regional and international challenges.
