Minister of Education and Technical Education Mohamed Abdel Latif on Tuesday monitored the second day of Egypt’s General Secondary Education Certificate (Thanaweya Amma) examinations from the Ministry’s Central Operations Room.

The minister stressed the need for the highest levels of discipline, directing relevant authorities to deal firmly and decisively with any violations or attempts to undermine the integrity of the examination process.

During the follow-up, Abdel Latif reviewed reports from heads of educational directorates across all governorates and confirmed the timely delivery of examination papers to testing centres nationwide. He underscored the importance of strict adherence to all regulations governing examination committees to ensure the smooth and orderly conduct of the exams.

The minister also monitored students’ entry into examination halls through the Ministry’s live surveillance and monitoring systems. He reviewed the implementation of security and organisational procedures, ensuring that inspection measures were carried out accurately and efficiently before the start of examinations.

Abdel Latif said these measures are aimed at providing students with a safe, secure and well-regulated environment in which to sit their exams, while safeguarding fairness and equal opportunity for all candidates.

He further stressed the importance of maintaining the highest standards of discipline within examination committees and ensuring that students arrive at examination venues well before the start of testing.

Abdel Latif reaffirmed the ministry’s commitment to providing full support to examination personnel, enabling them to take all necessary measures to preserve order and discipline within examination halls. He added that these efforts are essential to ensuring that the examinations are conducted in accordance with the highest standards of integrity, transparency and professionalism.
