Egyptian and Jordanian tourism experts and travel industry officials report that tourism ties between the two countries are experiencing significant growth, driven by diversified tourism offerings and expanding cooperation among private-sector companies.

Speaking to MENA on the sidelines of the Middle East and North Africa Travel and Tourism Forum 2026, which opened in Amman on Monday, Egyptian tourism specialists noted that destinations such as Sharm El-Sheikh, Cairo, Hurghada, and Marsa Alam continue to attract rising numbers of Jordanian and Arab tourists.

They attributed this trend to Egypt’s diverse mix of beach, cultural, and leisure tourism experiences.

Experts added that improved air connectivity and the expansion of direct flights between Egypt and Jordan have facilitated travel and bolstered bilateral tourism flows. This development has also enabled travel agencies to offer more competitive packages tailored to a variety of market segments.

They highlighted the North Coast and New Alamein City as emerging high-potential destinations, supported by ongoing promotional campaigns in the Jordanian market that showcase tourism growth, urban development projects, and the expansion of hospitality and entertainment infrastructure.

Jordanian tourism experts reiterated that Egypt remains a preferred destination for Jordanian travelers due to its broad range of attractions and experiences. They noted that cooperation between the two countries extends beyond tourism flows to discussions on launching joint tourism packages aimed at both Arab and international markets.

Participants emphasized the need to strengthen partnerships between Egyptian and Jordanian tourism companies, encourage the exchange of expertise, and launch joint promotional efforts to increase tourist arrivals and diversify target markets.
