Egyptian Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli witnessed on Wednesday the inking ceremony of a co-operation protocol between the Environment Ministry and South Sinai governorate on supporting the governorate in implementing and preparing the central park in Sharm el Sheikh.

The protocol was inked by Environment Minister Yasmin Fouad and South Sinai Governor Khaled Fouda.

President Abdel Fattah El Sisi gave directives to increase the efficiency of the facilities of the governmental and services bodies in Sharm el Sheikh, Madbouli said, adding that this coincides with preparations done for hosting COP 27.

After the inking ceremony, Fouad said that inking this protocol comes within the framework of the efforts of her ministry to protect the environment.

Meanwhile, Fouda asserted that the protocol aims at developing Sharm el Sheikh to be the first sustainable green city in Egypt.
