Egypt’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Co-operation and Egyptians Abroad, Badr Abdel-Aati, flew to Asmara on Saturday. He was accompanied by Transport Minister Kamel El-Wazir, as well as a delegation of senior Egyptian businessmen and private sector representatives.
The visit aims to strengthen bilateral co-operation between Egypt and Eritrea and expand economic and investment partnerships between the two countries.
During the visit, the Egyptian ministers and accompanying delegation are scheduled to hold meetings with senior Eritrean officials to explore opportunities for co-operation in transport, infrastructure, investment, and trade.
The talks are also expected to address regional issues of mutual concern and ways to support security, stability, and development in the Horn of Africa region.
