Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah El Sisi reiterated on Sunday Egypt’s keenness on boosting the close and distinguished ties with Kuwait, with focus on parliamentary relations, in a way that boosts bilateral co-operation at both official and popular levels.
President Sisi made the remarks as he received the Speaker of the Kuwait National Assembly (parliament) Marzouq Al Ghanim, Presidency Spokesman Ambassador Bassam Radi said. Speaker of Egypt’s House of Deputies speaker Hanafi Gebali attended the meeting.
Discussions at the meeting also covered the regional developments, Spokesman Radi said.
For his part, Al Ghanim conveyed to the president greetings from the Amir and the Crown Prince, and stressed that Kuwait cherishes the well- established ties with Egypt.
He also voiced Kuwait’s keenness on boosting consultation and coordination with Cairo on all issues, in light of Egypt’s pivotal role as a pillar of security and stability of the Arab World.
