Special Forces units have taken part in the multinational military exercise “FLINT LOCK-2026”, conducted over several days in both Libya and Côte d’Ivoire, with the participation of more than 30 countries.
The exercise forms part of ongoing efforts to strengthen military co-operation with friendly and brotherly nations and to enhance joint operational readiness.
The training programme included a range of complex field activities such as raids on coastal targets, vehicle ambush scenarios, pursuit operations against high-risk targets, as well as both standard and advanced live-fire drills.
Participants also engaged in urban warfare training and the use of explosive ordnance detection equipment.
The exercise provided an important platform for the exchange of professional expertise and exposure to diverse military doctrines and operational practices.
It also contributed to the unification of combat concepts and the enhancement of interoperability in complex operational environments.
Such multinational training activities also play a significant role in improving the ability of participating forces to operate effectively together, thereby supporting broader efforts to promote regional and international security and stability.
The exercise is part of the Armed Forces’ wider joint training programme conducted with partner nations aimed at strengthening co-operation and improving readiness for joint operations.
