Egypt’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Co-operation and Egyptians Abroad Badr Abdel-Aati emphasised Egypt’s continued support for the Libyan state, its stability, sovereignty, and unity, while underlining the importance of strengthening bilateral co-operation in a manner that serves the interests of both countries and their brotherly peoples.
This came during a meeting held on Saturday with Head of the Libyan Government of National Unity Abdel Hamid Dbeibah, on the sidelines of the Antalya Diplomacy Forum, said the Foreign Ministry Spokesman Ambassador Tamim Khallf.
He noted that the discussions focused on enhancing bilateral relations across various fields, in line with the deep historical and popular ties between Egypt and Libya.
Both sides expressed their shared commitment to advancing cooperation to meet the aspirations of the two peoples.
The meeting also reviewed regional and international developments, with emphasis placed on the importance of continued coordination between the two countries in addressing the challenges facing the region.
Both sides reaffirmed the necessity of maintaining close consultation to support stability and promote common interests.
