CAIRO – Egyptian Sports and Youth Minister Ashraf Sobhi said Monday Egypt is keen to encourage investing in the sector of sports to increase financial solvency for sporting activities.
He told Sky News channel that there is an urgent need to amend sports-related laws in terms of the comprehensive quantum leap achieved in the sports sector under the new republic.
Such amendments are necessary under the wise vision of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi that aims to remove all obstacles and encourage safe investments in all fields, the minister added.
The Senate’s committee of youth and sports held a meeting on Sunday in the presence of the minister to debate a government-proposed bill on amending some articles of sports law No. 71 of 2017.
