Egyptian Armed Forces Chief-of-Staff, Lieutenant General Ahmed Khalifa, received on Monday his counterpart from the Democratic Republic of Congo, Lieutenant General Panza Mwilambwe Goule, and an accompanying delegation during an official visit to Egypt.
An official reception ceremony was held at the General Secretariat of the Ministry of Defence, where the national anthems of both countries were played.
The meeting discussed a number of issues of mutual interest, as well as the latest regional and international developments and their implications for security and stability on the African continent.
Both sides also reviewed ways to enhance co-operation across various military fields between the armed forces of the two friendly nations.
The meeting was attended by a number of senior military officers from both countries, as well as the Ambassador of the Democratic Republic of Congo in Cairo.
