Minister of Youth and Sports Gawhar Nabil met on Tuesday with Solafa el-Goueli, Executive Director of the National Training Academy (NTA), to explore avenues for strengthening bilateral co-operation, with a focus on leadership development and capacity building.

Nabil underscored the importance of leveraging the academy’s expertise in preparing future leaders, highlighting its pivotal role in enhancing institutional capabilities and developing qualified human capital.

Discussions reviewed ongoing areas of collaboration, notably the Sports Ministry’s “Leadership Bank” programme, whose participants have undergone training and qualification at the academy. The first phase of the programme was implemented with the participation of 100 young trainees. Both sides also examined mechanisms to further expand co-operation in the coming period.

The minister asserted the value of drawing on the academy’s extensive experience in selecting and preparing leadership cadres, noting that youth in border governorates remain a key priority within the ministry’s strategy.

He stressed the importance of fostering a strong sense of national belonging and empowering young people to actively contribute to the country’s development process.

Nabil further highlighted that preparing well-informed and professionally qualified generations is essential to building a pool of capable leaders and decision-makers, thereby supporting the state’s sustainable development agenda and reinforcing societal stability and progress.
