Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli  met on Monday Guido Brusco, Chief Operating Officer for Natural Resources at Eni, during the Egypt Energy Show (EGYPES 2026). Petroleum Minister Karim Badawi also attended.

Madbouli welcomed Brusco and stressed the importance of Egypt’s partnership with Eni in oil and gas. He said the government is keen to create a climate that attracts foreign investment in these sectors. He added that Egypt supports international companies working in the market and looks forward to Eni expanding its projects.

The Prime Minister highlighted the need to speed up gas production to meet rising local demand. He described Eni as a trusted partner.

Brusco praised Egypt’s economic reforms, saying they improved the investment environment and boosted investor confidence. He confirmed Eni’s commitment to continue operations in Egypt, expand exploration, and increase output from current fields.

He announced agreements with the Ministry of Health to provide 400 hospital beds serving one million people. He also revealed that Eni plans to invest $2 billion in Egypt in 2026.

The meeting took place as EGYPS 2026 opened in Cairo under the patronage of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi.
