CAIRO – Egypt’s Cabinet’s media center confirmed the State was keen on supporting the competitive edge and unique heavyweight of Suez Canal at the level of world trade movement.
The State has adopted a comprehensive strategy for upgrading the navigation in the canal, the center said in a report, which includes an infographic highlighting the Suez Canal as the most important waterway globally.
That was attributed to expansion projects and the fact that the economic zone is luring global investments, according to it.
The canal achieved unprecedented revenues and indexes in its history ever, it added.
Safety factor was boosted in the canal in a way that goes in harmony with the development of trade movement worldwide, the report said.
