President Abdel Fattah El Sisi performed the blessed Eid al-Fitr prayer this morning at Al-Fattah Al-Aleem Mosque in the New Administrative Capital.

Participating in the prayer were Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli; Minister of Defense Lt. Gen. Ashraf Salem Zaher; Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces Lt. Gen. Ahmed Khalifa; Minister of Interior Maj. Gen. Mahmoud Tawfik; Minister of State for Information Diaa Rashwan; Minister of Transport Kamel El-Wazir; along with a number of ministers and senior state officials.

After prayer, the imam of Mosque delivered the Eid sermon, saying that there are several lessons to be learned from the blessed month of Ramadan, noting that among these lessons are forgiveness and mercy.

He added that God Almighty instructed His greatest creation, the prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him), to embrace forgiveness, enjoin what is right, and turn away from the ignorant.

These values are repeated in the lives of the prophets. It is narrated that Jesus (peace be upon him) responded to offense with peace, embodying the true meaning of tolerance. A believer is described as pure-hearted and free of malice, harboring no grudges against anyone, and going to sleep with a heart cleansed of all ill feelings.

In light of the circumstances the world is going through, gratitude emerges as a fundamental value, with renewed calls to thank God for the blessings and stability that Egypt enjoys.

He called on the Egyptian people and their armed forces to continue moving forward toward progress and not to be distracted by the attempts of those who spread harm, in a way that strengthens the path of stability and development.
