Minister of State for Military Production Salah Gomblatt reviewed on Wednesday the latest developments in the manufacturing of military products.
During a meeting with senior ministry officials, representatives of the National Authority for Military Production, and chairmen of several affiliated companies, the minister reviewed the implementation of production plans in a number of key manufacturing projects, including the K9 A1 EGY howitzer system in the military production factories, as well as ammunition of various calibers.
The minister stressed the importance of completing work according to the established schedules and as per the approved technical specifications, which would enhance the ministry’s leading role in meeting the needs of the Armed Forces.
Gomblatt also followed up on the efforts of military production companies to develop existing defence industries and introduce new military products that align with the operational requirements of the Armed Forces.
He highlighted the ministry’s commitment to localising advanced manufacturing technologies, including the use of artificial intelligence, in line with the directives of the political leadership.
He further noted that the ministry continues to utilise surplus production capacities to support national civilian projects, stressing the importance of regularly monitoring the technical condition of machinery and implementing maintenance schedules on time to ensure the continued efficiency and reliability of the production process.
