Egypt’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Co-operation and Egyptian Expatriates Badr Abdel-Aati stressed the urgent need to stop military operations and prevent further regional instability during a phone call on Friday with Bahrain’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdullatif bin Rashid Alzayani.
Abdel-Aati reaffirmed Egypt’s full solidarity with Bahrain and its Gulf partners in confronting the fallout from recent attacks. He reasserted that Gulf and Arab national security is an inseparable part of Egypt’s own national security.
The minister strongly condemned the assaults and categorically rejected any justifications for violations of the sovereignty of Arab states or threats to the security and resources of their peoples.
According to Foreign Ministry Spokesman Tamim Khallaf, the phone discussions also focused on the broader repercussions of attacks on Gulf and Arab nations. Abdel-Aati warned of the serious consequences of continued military escalation, stressing that all operations must cease immediately to prevent the situation from spiraling out of control and to safeguard regional stability.
The call underscores Egypt’s commitment to supporting its regional partners and promoting peace and security across the Gulf and wider Arab world amid escalating tensions.
