Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Co-operation, and Egyptians Abroad, Badr Abdel-Aati, reiterated that Egypt is closely monitoring the rapid and serious developments unfolding across the region, underscoring the urgent need to intensify coordinated efforts to contain the current escalation.

He warned that failure to act decisively to de-escalate tensions could lead to catastrophic consequences and plunge the region into widespread instability.

Abdel-Aati remarks came during a telephone conversation held on Tuesday with Omani Foreign Minister Badr Al-Busaidi.

The discussion focused on the evolving regional landscape and the importance of unified diplomatic engagement to prevent further deterioration.

Abdel-Aati reaffirmed Egypt’s full solidarity with the Sultanate of Oman and all brotherly Arab states in the face of recent attacks, emphasising Cairo’s unwavering commitment to the sovereignty, security, stability, and territorial integrity of Arab nations.

Both ministers underscored the necessity for all parties to exercise maximum restraint and to prioritise dialogue, alongside political and diplomatic solutions.

They stressed the imperative of full adherence to the principles of international law and the Charter of the United Nations to restore stability and avert a broader military confrontation in the region.
