BAGHDAD – Egyptian Minister of Agriculture and Land Reclamation el-Sayed el-Quseir took part Monday in the inaugural meeting of the 36th session of the Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO) Regional Conference for the Near East (NERC 36).
Prime Minister Mustafa al-Kadhimi, as well as a number of ministers and experts in FAO member states are participating in the two-day gathering.
Quseir is scheduled to post participants on Egypt’s efforts to realise food security and balanced food systems for the well-being of all citizens.
The Egyptian minister is also scheduled to hold tête-à-tête meetings with ministers and officials participating in the gathering.
This is the first regional conference by FAO to be held in Baghdad.
