Minister of Public Business Sector Mohamed Shimi discussed with a delegation from the Afro-Asian Investors Union ways to enhance investment cooperation and open new horizons for partnership with the private sector.
During the meeting, the minister reviewed the ministry’s ongoing reform efforts to develop affiliated companies through technical, administrative and financial restructuring, improve operational efficiency and maximize returns from state-owned assets.
Shimi said the ministry’s companies offer promising investment opportunities in several key sectors, including mining and metallurgy, chemicals and fertilizers, textiles, pharmaceuticals, tourism and real estate development, stressing the ministry’s openness to various forms of partnership with the private sector.
The delegation members expressed interest in the proposed opportunities and their keenness to strengthen cooperation with the Ministry of Public Business Sector to support investment and add value to the national economy.
