CAIRO – Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates Badr Abdelatty on Friday held a telephone conversation with Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha to discuss ways to strengthen bilateral relations and recent developments in the Ukraine crisis.
During the call, Abdelatty reviewed the course of Egypt-Ukraine relations, highlighting Egypt’s commitment to strengthening bilateral cooperation in economic, trade, investment, and tourism sectors to serve the interests of both countries.
He also highlighted Egypt’s proposal to host a global hub for grain storage, supply, and trade to support food security and strengthen related supply chains, noting the country’s strategic location and advanced logistical infrastructure.
As for the Ukrainian crisis, Abdelatty reaffirmed Egypt’s longstanding position, calling for continued political efforts to reach peaceful solutions through dialogue and diplomatic channels.
He added that such efforts should preserve regional and international security and stability.
