General Abdel Meguid Saqr, Commander in chief of the Armed Forces and Minister of Defence and Military Production, met with a number of senior commanders and officers of the Armed Forces at the Central Military Zone in the presence of Chief of Staff Ahmed Khalifa, commanders of the main branches and several senior military officials.
The meeting comes as part of continued follow-up of work mechanisms within the Armed Forces and discussions on ways to enhance performance to ensure the fulfilment of national duties and responsibilities to protect the country and safeguard its sanctities.
The meeting included briefings by several commanders addressing the latest developments and current challenges, the Armed Forces’ efforts to protect Egypt’s national security, and methods of work and modernization to keep pace with rapid developments across various military fields.
In remarks, Saqr conveyed the appreciation of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, for the efforts exerted by members of the Armed Forces to safeguard the nation’s capabilities.
Saqr stressed the need for commanders and officers at all levels to maintain a high state of combat readiness and to give due attention to personnel as the cornerstone of the Armed Forces, enabling them to carry out assigned tasks with efficiency, professionalism and high morale.
He also underscored the importance of raising awareness of the challenges facing the country in order to preserve national security and territorial integrity.
