Egyptian Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli asserted that Beni Hassan Al-Shorouk tertiary wastewater treatment plant project reflects the state’s commitment to improving the quality of life of Egyptian citizens and embodies its determination to continue implementing the presidential initiative “Decent Life” across all villages nationwide.

He asserted that the government is proceeding with infrastructure projects in accordance with the highest standards, while ensuring strong community participation to guarantee the sustainability of these projects.

These remarks came during a visit by Madbouli and his accompanying delegation to the plant as part of his tour of development and service projects in Minya governorate.

Madbouli and his delegation listened to a detailed briefing delivered by Chairman of the National Organization For Potable Water and Sanitary Drainage (NOPWASD) Amin Shawky.

He explained that the project spans an area of 9.5 feddans and has a production capacity ranging from 10,000 to 15,000 cubic meters per day with a high completion rate already achieved.

Shawky said that the project aims to provide sanitation services to three villages east of the Nile in Abu Qurqas District, adding that the plant will serve more than 80,000 residents in villages that previously lacked wastewater services.
