Mohamed Shimi, Minister of Public Business Sector, affirmed his full readiness to offer the expertise of public business sector companies in a number of fields, including contracting, construction, real estate development, and hotels, to the Ministry of Awqaf, with the aim of elevating prospects for cooperation between the two ministries for the benefit of society and citizens.
This came during a meeting between the Minister of Awqaf, Dr. Osama Al-Azhari, and Engineer Mohamed Shimi at the headquarters of the Ministry of Awqaf in the New Administrative Capital, to discuss boosting cooperation in a number of areas of mutual interest between the two ministries.
The Minister of Awqaf opened the meeting by welcoming the Minister of Public Business Sector and his accompanying delegation, expressing his happiness with the visit and with the sincere spirit aimed at creating a leap forward in cooperation in areas of joint work between the two ministries, particularly with regard to investing some of the Awqaf Authority’s assets of a historical nature.
This, he noted, gives rise to hope that this enhanced cooperation will bring about a real shift toward achieving many anticipated successes through the integration of efforts between the two ministries.
For his part, the Minister of Public Business Sector expressed his pleasure at the meeting, affirming that one of the tasks of the public business sector is to achieve the required balance in the Egyptian market across a number of sectors.
At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides agreed to immediately embark on a number of procedures aimed at strengthening cooperation, overcoming any obstacles facing bilateral areas of work, forming specialized joint committees for office-based and field work, and reviving a number of projects that have been stalled for years, in addition to agreeing on a disciplined timeline to achieve the required accomplishments.
