Minister of Civil Aviation Samah el-Hefney had issued a decision to appoint Navigator Sameh Fawzi as the head of the Civil Aviation Authority, succeeding pilot Amr Al-Sharqawi, who resigned after heading the authority for three years.
Navigator Samah Fawzi previously held several positions within the authority, most recently serving as deputy head before the minister’s decision to appoint him as head.
