Maj. General Abdel Meguid Saqr, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces and Minister of Defence and Military Production, held a series of meetings yesterday with several leaders of international military delegations on the sidelines of the fourth International Defence Industries Exhibition (EDEX 2025).
The exhibition is taking place at the Egypt International Exhibition and Convention Centre from 1 to 4 December. Lieutenant General Ahmed Khalifa, Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces, attended the meetings.
General Saqr held separate talks with Ramo Claude Birou, Minister of National Defence of the Central African Republic; Suren Papikyan, Armenia’s Minister of Defence; and SadioCamara, Mali’s Minister of National Defence and Veterans.

The discussions addressed recent regional and international developments and explored areas of mutual interest, particularly military co-operation and the exchange of expertise.
Meanwhile, Lieutenant General Khalifa met with Lieutenant General IssaSaif Mohammed Al Mazrouei, Chief of Staff of the UAE Armed Forces; Lieutenant General Mohamed Al-Ghoul, Tunisia’s Army Chief of Staff; and Major General Salah Masoud Al-Azmi, Kuwait’s Assistant Chief of Staff for Supply and Logistics. Discussions during these meetings focused on means to foster defence co-operation across multiple domains, in addition to exchanging views on issues of mutual concern.
