CAIRO – Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly said Thursday the government will focus in the coming period on ensuring that the citizens feel the benefits of economic reforms in all sectors, including health, education, job opportunities, income levels, and price stability for basic necessities.
During a press conference held today, following the weekly cabinet meeting, Madbouly expressed his appreciation to the Egyptian people for their resilience during the difficult period of economic reform.
Madbouly said, “President Abdel Fattah El Sisi always speaks of the Egyptian people’s strength, understanding, and endurance during this exceptional and challenging period.”
“During this period, we bore the burden of nation-building amidst a global economic crisis and a regional environment fraught with immense challenges and their negative repercussions,” he added.
He noted that the middle class represents the true fabric of the Egyptian people and a genuine source of strength for the Egyptian state, particularly as it is the most committed to the education of its children.
He pointed out that during this year and the next three years, the focus will be on a complete improvement in the quality of life and the economic level so that the citizen feels the fruits of reform.
