The Egypt-Japan University of Science and Technology (E-JUST) has achieved an outstanding performance in the QS Arab Region University Rankings 2026, securing the top position among Egyptian universities in the Papers per Faculty metric with a perfect score of 100 per cent.
This prestigious indicator — one of the most significant in the QS ranking methodology — evaluates the research productivity of university faculty based on scholarly output published in internationally peer-reviewed journals.
Of the 301 universities across the Arab world assessed in this cycle, only four institutions attained the maximum score in this category, with E-JUST standing among them, the University said in a statement
Speaking on the occasion, President of E-JUST, Professor Amr Adly, highlighted the significance of this achievement, particularly as it comes during the university’s debut appearance in the Arab regional rankings.
He noted that: “This achievement is the result of a focused research journey that began 15 years ago when E-JUST was established as a postgraduate research university. Since then, we have grown steadily, launching undergraduate programmes just eight years ago.
“This recognition affirms the university’s research-driven mission and the exceptional caliber of our faculty — who embody the strong, sustained collaboration between Egyptian and Japanese scientific communities.”
