Turkish Airlines has resumed flights to Misrata, its 3rd destination in Libya after Tripoli and Benghazi.
The national carrier had suspended its flights to Misrata in January 2015, and has now resumed them, serving 62 destinations across the African continent.
Flights to Misrata will be operated by Boeing B737-78D aircrafts three times a week, on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.
Mahmoud Yayla, Vice President of Regional Sales (Region II) at Turkish Airlines, said: ” Turkish Airlines is proud to continue its vital role in connecting continents, as well as strengthening global Communication through Misrata, the third-largest city in Libya, which has deep-rooted historical relations with our country.”
As Türkiye’s national carrier, Yayla went on to say: “We will continue to take steps to meet the growing demand for travel in light of Africa’s economic growth.”
According to changeable marketing circumstances and growing demand, we will continue verifying Africa’s gates to the World, Yayla added.
“In response to changing market conditions and growing demand, we will continue to diversify Africa’s gateways to the world,” Yayla added.
