CAIRO – Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces and Minister of Defenؤe and Military Production Abdel Meguid Saqr met with a number of fighters from the Western Military Zone.
The meeting was attended by Chief of Staff Lieutenant General Ahmed Khalifa as well as the commanders of the main branches, and a number of senior military leaders.
The meeting is part of the ongoing efforts by the General Command of the Armed Forces to engage with soldiers and ensure their combat readiness.
Commander of the Western Military Zone Major General Hatem Mostafa Zahran delivered a speech in which he emphasized the commitment of the region’s personnel to achieving the highest levels of readiness and combat preparedness in order to carry out their assigned missions in defense of the homeland and its resources.
Saqr also gave a speech in which he conveyed the greetings of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi to the army personnel of the Western Military Area. He praised the sacrifices they made while fulfilling their duties with efficiency.
He stressed that maintaining a high level of combat readiness to face all challenges is the true guarantee of the nation’s security and stability, especially in light of the rapidly evolving events and changes in the region.
He also reviewed the developments in the region and the need to raise awareness and ensure a correct understanding among the soldiers of the surrounding events.
He urged them to maintain high morale and self-discipline, emphasizing that the Armed Forces personnel are a symbol of pride and dignity, and a model of dedication and sacrifice for the sake of the nation.
Saqr joined the soldiers for lunch, expressing his appreciation for their dedication in serving the homeland to achieve security and stability.
