CAIRO – Chinese Ambassador to Egypt Liao Liqiang said Egypt’s “Jusoor” Publishing House has signed a co-operation deal with Guangzhou-based Huacheng Publishing House to introduce five Chinese literary works to the Arab market, providing Arab readers with a new window into contemporary Chinese culture.
The announcement came during Egypt’s recent participation in the South China Book Fair in Guangzhou, which this year featured a special international pavilion dedicated to Arab culture. Qatar and the United Arab Emirates also took part in the fair.
The fair included four main sections; books, culture, tourism and artworks, reflecting the vitality of cultural exchange between China and the Arab world.
In a post on X on Wednesday, the Chinese ambassador described the agreement as a new milestone in cultural exchange between Egypt and China, saying it would help build stronger bridges of dialogue between China and the Arab world.
