CAIRO – President Abdel Fattah El Sisi has issued Republican Decree No. 427 of 2025, renewing the appointment of Walid Mohamed Sami Mohamed Gamal El-Din as Chairman of the General Authority for the Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZone), with the rank of Minister, for a one-year term effective August 12, 2025.
The decision was published in the official gazette Al-Waqa’i’ al-Misriyya to come into force.El-Din was initially appointed by President El-Sisi to lead the authority on August 12, 2022.
