EgyptAir’s chairman met with France’s ambassador to Egypt this week to discuss ways of strengthening co-operation in the civil aviation sector, with a focus on increasing air traffic and tourism between the two countries.
Pilot Ahmed Adel, Chairman of the EgyptAir Holding Company, held talks in Cairo with French Ambassador Eric Chevallier and his accompanying delegation to explore avenues for expanded collaboration.

Adel emphasised the importance of deepening the partnership with France to enhance air connectivity and promote knowledge exchange across all areas of civil aviation. “Egypt’s strategic location, linking the Middle East, Africa and Europe, positions us as a key player in regional and international aviation,” he said.
He added that EgyptAir is looking forward to opening new areas of co-operation that would help stimulate tourism between Egypt and France.

Ambassador Chevallier praised EgyptAir’s pivotal role in supporting air travel between the two nations, stressing the importance of continued coordination with Egypt’s national carrier to identify new investment and economic opportunities.
He reiterated France’s support for increasing travel between the two countries, adding that Egypt remains a favourite destination for French tourists, thanks to its rich cultural and archaeological heritage.
