EgyptAir Cargo participated in the IATA World Cargo Symposium in Dubai, with a delegation led by Capt. Ehab El-Tohtawi, Chairman of the company. The event brought together global leaders in air cargo, logistics, and aviation technology to discuss the future of the industry.
Capt. El-Tohtawi affirmed EgyptAir Cargo’s commitment to its strategic plans for expansion and modernisation, aiming to keep pace with rapid changes in the global cargo sector. He highlighted efforts to strengthen the company’s network connecting African, Asian, and European markets through its growing logistics hub at Cairo International Airport, which is being developed into a key regional cargo center.
The company is also working to diversify its services, including express shipping, cold chain logistics, and e-commerce cargo, backed by a modern fleet and integrated operations system with a strong focus on environmental sustainability and compliance with international standards.
EgyptAir Cargo’s participation in the symposium included active engagement in high-level committees, and several bilateral meetings with global partners and aviation organisations, exploring new markets and digital solutions to enhance efficiency and service quality.
The delegation also took part in key events on the sidelines, including the Cargo Services Conference, the Freight Forwarders Forum, and the Heads of Cargo Summit, where reports and decisions by IATA’s cargo divisions were discussed and ratified.
The Egyptian delegation included Khaled Youssef, Head of Economic Affairs; Ilham Adly, Director of International Affairs; Ahmed Farid, Dubai Cargo Manager; and Hoda El-Sokkary from the International Affairs Department.
