CAIRO- In partnership with the Ministry of Social Solidarity, Tahya Misr (Long Live Egypt) Fund has launched the first phase of a campaign aimed at providing different foodstuffs to least privileged people in villages and townships across the country ahead of the holy month of Ramadan.

Executive director of the fund Tamer Abdel Fattah said in a statement on Monday that the campaign sets an example for successful partnership bringing together the government, civil society and Private Sector to support indigent families nationwide.

He said the Ministry of Social Solidarity has supported the fund’s efforts aimed at backing these families.

He added phase one of the campaign, which targets 250,000 families, aims at supplying them with dry foodstuffs, chickens and meat.

Tahya Misr Fund has catered to relief aid and development needs through launching numerous humanitarian campaigns to support needy people across the nation and develop impoverished villages and townships in a number of governorates in cooperation with major civil development foundations.
