The Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics (CAPMAS) said that the inflation rate recorded 250.6 points in March, marking a 1.5 per cent rise compared to February.
The most important reasons behind this uptick in the inflation rate is the increase of the prices of fruits by 23.6 percent, grains by 0.5 percent, seafood by 0.7 percent, meat and poultry by 2.8 per cent, oils by 0.2 percent, and dairy products and milk by 0.3 per cent, CAPMAS said in a statement on Thursday.
