CAIRO – Minister of Agriculture and Land Reclamation Alaa Farouk met with a delegation of the National Enterprise Corporation (NEC) led by James Mugira to follow up on the implementation of the Egyptian-Ugandan joint farm.
During the meeting, the minister stood on the implementation of the farm which is established in Uganda on 500 hectares for animal and plant production.
For his part, the head of the delegation lauded the role of the farm in contributing to planning intensified new and high-quality classification and production of corn and soya bean.
The farm is considered a guiding, research and productive farm, he said, highlighting arm in breeding animals and training the farmers in Uganda, he said.
He also said the farm highly contributes to transferring Egyptian expertise which is the main goal from establishing these Egyptian farms in the African countries.
The Egyptian minister of agriculture lauded distinguished relations between Egypt and Uganda, asserting the importance of the directives of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi to present all aspects of support to African brethren.
The meeting tackled preparations to establish a new Egyptian-Uganda farm on an area of 1000 hectare.
