Egyptian Minister of Agriculture Alaa Farouk underlined the Egyptian government’s keenness on developing the infrastructure of the agricultural sector and offering all needed support and facilitations for farmers and agri-exporters.

He made the remarks during his participation in the FRUIT LOGISTICA, fresh produce trade show, in Berlin.

The minister’s participation in the event fell within the framework of the government’s efforts to encourage and develop the agricultural sector and prop up farmers, thus Egypt would become a pioneer in a number of agricultural products at the international level.

He highlighted the government’s ongoing efforts to implement ambitious plans aiming at doubling agricultural exports in the coming period.

The minister underscored the close coordination between the government and the private sector at attain this goal.

During the exhibition, the minister had talks with Egyptian companies taking part in the event and stood on their opinions concerning means of overcoming any challenges facing them with regard to boosting output and promoting Egypt’s competitive capabilities in foreign markets.

He noted that the Egyptian pavilion was one of the largest pavilions in the exhibition.
