Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif extended his congratulations to Ahmed Al-Sharaa on assuming office as President of the Syrian Arab Republic during the transitional phase.
In a statement shared on his official account on X (formerly Twitter), PM Sharif expressed his hopes for Syria’s future under the new leadership.
“We welcome Mr Ahmed Al-Sharaa’s assumption of office as President of the Syrian Arab Republic during the transitional phase and hope that the new leadership will be able to bring peace, progress, and prosperity to the brotherly people of Syria,” he wrote.
