The Border Guard Forces succeeded in carrying out strikes against criminal elements and smugglers as well as thwarting attempts aimed at undermining Egyptian national security.
The strikes were carried out in cooperation with the main branches of the armed forces, mobilization formations and all security services in implementation of directives of the General Command of the Armed Forces to intensify security operations on all strategic directions.

The Border Guard Forces were able to arrest a number of individuals in possession of quantities of (weapons and ammunition) of various calibers and to seize quantities of narcotic substances (hashish, hydro, opium) and narcotic tablets, during insurance and inspection operations on ferries, tunnels, roads and various axes, in addition to carrying out patrols and search campaigns aimed eliminating narcotic cultivation.
Meantime, the forces thwarted many attempts of gold ore random prospection and illegal emigration of individuals of different nationalities across all Egyptian borders, seizing quantities of goods that were not clear of customs duties and some local currencies.
The forces seized a number of individuals and vehicles used in smuggling after intensifying inspection campaigns on various roads and corridors.
They also continue to tighten security control over all strategic directions of the state.
