Abu Dhabi – The ADNEC Group has joined forces with the Tawazun Council as a strategic partner to host the largest-ever editions of the International Defence Exhibition (IDEX) and Naval Defence Exhibition (NAVDEX). Held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE and Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, these landmark events will take place from February 17 to 21, 2025, at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC).

Advancing the UAE’s Defence and Innovation Vision

This partnership highlights ADNEC Group and Tawazun Council’s shared dedication to supporting the UAE’s ambition to become a global hub for defence, security, and advanced technologies. The exhibitions will serve as a vital platform for decision-makers, experts, and industry leaders to showcase innovations and shape the future of the defence sector.

Saeed Al Mansoori, Advisor for Defence Exhibitions at Capital Events, a subsidiary of ADNEC Group, remarked:
“We are proud to collaborate with Tawazun Council for the 17th edition of IDEX and the 8th edition of NAVDEX. This partnership reinforces our commitment to positioning Abu Dhabi as a global leader in defence innovation and a premier destination for specialised international events.”

Al Mansoori emphasized the unprecedented scale of the 2025 edition, which is expected to feature the highest number of participants in the event’s history. “Together with our partners, we are committed to delivering an extraordinary experience that drives growth in the defence industry and contributes to the UAE’s sustainable economic development,” he added.

Showcasing Global Innovation and Expertise

Mona Ahmed Al Jabber, Chief Corporate Communication Officer at Tawazun Council, underscored the importance of IDEX and NAVDEX as pivotal events in the global defence exhibition landscape. She noted:
“These exhibitions showcase advancements in defence technology and highlight the UAE’s professionalism and commitment to delivering world-class events. Such efforts further establish the UAE as a global hub for Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions (MICE).”

Al Jabber also reiterated the Tawazun Council’s dedication to fostering international cooperation, attracting investments, and supporting sustainable development in defence and technology. “This strategic partnership exemplifies the strength of national collaboration and our shared ambition to achieve the UAE’s visionary goals,” she added.

Features and Future-Focused Initiatives

The 2025 edition of IDEX and NAVDEX will include several forward-looking initiatives, such as:

  • IDEX Next-Gen: A platform dedicated to global start-ups in defence technology.
  • IDEX Think Tank: A forum for international experts to explore challenges and innovations in the sector.
  • IDEX and NAVDEX Dialogues: High-level discussions among policymakers, thought leaders, and futurists on emerging technologies shaping the industry.

Building on the success of the 2023 editions, which attracted over 132,500 participants, 41 international pavilions, and 1,353 exhibitors from 65 countries, the upcoming events are set to solidify their reputation as premier platforms for the global defence community.
