DUBLIN- Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah El Sisi on Wednesday will hold talks with his Irish counterpart Michael Daniel Higgins at the headquarters of the Irish presidency.

The two leaders will discuss ways of enhancing cooperation between Egypt and Ireland in different fields and coordinating stances on international issues of mutual concern, notably the Palestinian issue and the Syrian crisis.

Following his talks with the Irish leader, President Sisi will meet Irish Prime Minister Simon Harris.

Sisi and Harris will hold extensive talks on available opportunities to foster cooperation between the two countries in various areas.

The president will review sustainable development efforts in Egypt and investment opportunities available to Irish companies in the Egyptian market, especially in the new and renewable energy, green energy and technological sectors.

President Sisi will brief the Irish premier on the Egyptian State’s endeavors to localize the industry in different sectors.

Earlier today, the president arrived in Ireland, which is the third and last stop of his European tour that included Denmark and Norway.

Scores of the Egyptian community’s members in Ireland and some European countries welcomed President Sisi after he arrived at his residence in Dublin.

They chanted “Long Live Egypt” slogan and raised Sisi’s pictures and Egypt’s flag, expressing their happiness at the president’s historic visit to Ireland.
