Deputy Minister of Finance and supervisor of the Egyptian Customs Authority Sherif el Kilani signed with Governor of the Saudi Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA) Suhail bin Mohammed Abanmi an agreement for mutual recognition of the authorised economic operator programmes in both countries.
The agreement will contribute to enhancing trade exchange and the supply chains in international trade, as well as granting benefits to the private sector in both Egypt and Saudi Arabia.
The signing ceremony took place on the sidelines of the Zakat, Tax and Customs Conference hosted by Saudi Arabia and bringing together business professionals, taxpayers, importers, exporters, experts and researchers from around the world to enhance collaboration and insights on Zakat, tax and customs.
The conference aims to highlight top developments in customs operations and their management and delve into the latest best practices in tax and Zakat collection amid the tremendous progress brought on by new sustainable technologies and their widespread adoption across various sectors.
