Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli Thursday inaugurated the new International Camel and Equestrian Club in Kharga Oasis, New Valley governorate.

The opening ceremony was attended by Minister of Youth and Sports Ashraf Sobhi, Minister of Water Resources and Irrigation Hani Seweillam and Minister of Agriculture and Land Reclamation Alaa Eddin Farouk.

Also, Minister of Education and Technical Education Mohamed Abdellatif, New Valley Governor Mohamed el Zamalot and a number of officials were present at the opening.

Madbouli gave the go-ahead of the international marathon and car rally and camel race, wishing best of luck for all competitors.

While addressing the ceremony, Madbouli underscored that the state, under President Abdel Fattha El Sisi, is committed to giving a top priority for sports due to its contribution to the development of youth.

The premier highlighted the significant investments made in sports infrastructure to host international competitions and nurture talented athletes.

Setting up the International Camel and Equestrian Club falls within the framework of the great importance attached by the state to investment in sports, in light of its role in development of youth and building the Egyptian character, said youth minister.

The New Valley governor, in his speech, welcomed the attendees and expressed appreciation for President Sisi and the premier for supporting the Upper Egypt governorate in various development and service sectors.

Madbouli was briefed by the minister of Youth on the Camel and Horse Racing Club that is located north of Kharga City on an area of 400 feddans.

The club includes a 20-meter wide and 8-km long sports track, with a total club area of 4,750,000 square meters at a total cost of 40 million pounds.
