Egypt’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration and Expatriates Affairs Badr Abdelatty and Pakistani Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs Mohammad Ishaq Dar lauded the bilateral ties between Egypt and Pakistan.
This came during a meeting between Abdelatty and Dar on the sidelines of the 15th Sir Bani Yas Forum held in the UAE.
Both ministers asserted the importance of continuing political consultation and permanent coordination via different mechanisms in addition to pushing economic cooperation forward between both countries, especially in the fields of trade, investment and tourism to achieve interest of both countries.
They exchanged points of view on the latest developments in the Gaza Strip and Lebanon, where they asserted the importance to stop escalation and tensions in the region and reaching an immediate ceasefire.
They also discussed a number of issues of mutual interest on the regional and international arenas, especially global financial system reform.
