Minister of Local Development Manal Awad held a series of meetings on Thursday with officials from Chinese companies specialized in slaughterhouse operations, waste management, and wastewater treatment.
During the meetings, held on the sidelines of her current visit to Sichuan Province, China, the minister listened to technical presentations by these companies and highlighted investment opportunities in Egyptian governorates within the companies’ areas of expertise.
The discussions aimed to explore potential collaborations and encourage further joint investments, in line with Egypt’s strategy to enhance industrial localization and technology transfer through partnerships with the private sector and direct foreign investment.
Awad praised the efforts of Chinese companies operating in Egypt across various economic sectors, including infrastructure development.
The minister emphasized the government’s commitment to helping Chinese companies benefit from Egypt’s ongoing development and strengthening their investments in ways that would benefit both countries.
